Designing the Orbit was an exercise in synthesizing many of the aspects of the electric guitar that I love the most. Some of those things are twangy surf music and raw garage rock of the 1960’s, subtle and warbly vibrato arms, the funkier aspects of Kay, Silvertone and Harmony electrics, as well as the bold and idiosyncratic early designs from Japan.
